E-Scooters and E-bikes policy

E-Scooters and E-bikes

Please note that E-Scooters are not permitted to be kept at any Unipol property. The law current states that privately owner e-scooters are illegal to use on public land. If you use an e-scooter illegally;

  • you could face a fine
  • you could get penalty points on your licence
  • the e-scooter could be impounded

E-scooters can also pose a risk of fire due to their batteries and charging devices. Any E-Scooter found within a Unipol property or development will be removed.

E-Bikes maybe permitted but this is dependent on the property. The reasons for this are due to potential fire safety concerns, and as such any tenant wishing to keep an E-bike must write to Unipol to request permission. A review of the building or development will be undertaken by the Housing Manager to check it the storage location meets fire safety requirements. Please note, where permission is not granted, and E-bikes are found within a Unipol property, they will be removed.

If you would like permission to keep an E-Bike, please contact Unipol Housing at;
